Ayii Anargyri

Ayii Anargyri Natural Healing Spa resort  has a long and gracious history. In 1649, the brothers Cosmas and Damianos opened the Spa. They were doctors who traveled from place to place, healing people of their diseases and never accepting money, so their title Anargyri means without silver coins. They were accepting visitors at the Monastery, the original building of the resort, and with care and love they cared for many people in pain. For their love and selflessness, they were named upon their death, Saints. The monastery through the passing years, was transformed into an inn with 18 rooms, whereby many visitors continued to visit and bathe in the healing source of water. The land was acquired in the early 1980 s by a local, who tried to bring his vision into reality. He planted trees and rebuild the stone walls, but it was after he passed away, that the Spa Resort was completed into its present magnificence.

This exquisite Boutique hotel in Paphos district has 56 rooms and can cater for unto 150 guests in garden suites, bungalows and guest rooms. Luxury accommodation with personal service is provided for residents who come here to rest and resource themselves. Children under 14 years of age are not allowed in the resort. Treatment in the old times was done by heating the healing water from the source and filling a bath by hand. Things have evolved dramatically.

The original stream of mineral rich water, is been channeled into the spa with a combination of numerous other treatments that have very beneficial results. Bathing in the sulphur pools help activate blood circulation, alleviate aches and pains and improve skin rejuvenation. The Natural Healing Spa has a great variety of treatments, tailored for each and every one with choices of packages available all year round. Not only the Spa is an attraction but the scenery and the whole concept is simply unique.

Cuisine at the Ayii Anargyri is remarkable. Local products, garden fresh vegetables and special menus are complementing the treatments while enjoying flavorsome dishes. With a very fine selection of wines and spirits, attention to details and quality has been the highlight of the hotel.

The resort provide for healing through the springs while the area has a lot to offer. Miliou, the nearby village with only a few inhabitants, is one of the greenest villages in the area. Benefiting as well from the source of water, landscape is an abundance of almond trees and citrus groves, vineyards and other flora.
