Protaras Beaches

One of the better known and most popular beaches of Cyprus, Fig Tree Bay gets its name from the fig tree that provided shade to the locals before the area become popular among tourists. With fine white sand and clear shallow waters, the beach is a favorite of locals on weekends, especially those with young children.

The bay is Konnos four kilometers east of Ayia Napa on the road between Cape Greco and Protaras and is the last beach, which defines the border between Ayia Napa and Protaras. It is one of the most picturesque beaches well protected from winds and almost no natural wave.
