Kalidonian Waterfalls is located outside of the village Platres at the Troodos mountains and it attracts several visitors both tourists and locals who want to enjoy this scenic and tranquil location. The waterfalls stand at 12 meters high. The cascading waters, the cool and shady surroundings and the beauty of the scenery provide the visitor with spectacular views and moments of serenity and relaxation.
To reach the waterfalls visitors may travel by car taking the Limassol to Troodos road or the Nicosia to Troodos road. Visitors staying at the area can walk through the nature trail which begins 350 meters from the main Troodos to Platres road.
The visit to the Kalidonian Waterfalls can be combined with hiking, mountain biking, horse back riding, photography and perhaps a picnic in the countryside. Visitors can take information on the available nature trails online or at the village of Platres or at the Troodos square. There are also bicycles and horses for rent.
